Kaireva Beach House is, at the time we stayed there, brand new and has been beautifully decorated with a wood interior. It looks straight out over the channel to Motutapu island on the other side of the channel and all you need to do is work straight out the front doors, past the pool and down the steps to be in the sea. Robert & Susanna who live downstairs (and their son, Robert junior) are some the friendliest and most helpful people we’ve met. Nothing was too much trouble and they kept us supplied with fresh fruit & herbs from their garden. We’d highly recommend this location to anyone looking for self-contained accommodation in Rarotonga.

The house is located at the north shore of Avana Harbour, about 150 meters away from the lonely little island in the front, which is called Motu Tapu. And five minutes driving to Muri Village where the shops, restaurants, take aways, rent-a-car and turistic activities are available.
